Mr. Cummings is currently the Varsity Girls Head Coach at Center High School, Antelope California. He has been involved with volleyball for more than 14 years. He started out as a volleyball parent for his 2 daughters and two stepdaughters. The two stepdaughters went on to play on in college and one is presently playing professionally. Because of his passion for the game and the desire to help both girls and boys Mr. Cummings decided to get involved in coaching and training volleyball players. He started by surrounding himself with other successful volleyball coaches and started studying them and their teaching techniques, He also purchased college training material in the form of video tapes and studied them. Once he had acquired the required knowledge and felt ready to teach he proceeded to apply for high school coaching positions (Varsity to Freshman) Over the past 8 years he has coached at all levels in junior and high school. He has coached both boys and girls programs, and also started a program from scratch at Foresthill High School. Mr. Cummings continues to expand his volleyball knowledge by attending coaching clinics when his schedule permits and also continues to learn from his stepdaughter who continues in her professional volleyball playing career. Mr. Cummings is presently the Ladies Varsity Head Coach at San Juan High School in Citrus Heights Ca.
